Kurt brings a wealth of MedTech expertise from a 30-year career that has spanned investment banking, equities research, medical device product design, development, commercialization, and fundraising in both public and private settings.
Most recently, he headed Life Sciences banking at WR Hambrecht & Company. Previously he served as an equity analyst for more than 20 years at Hambrecht & Quist, Montgomery Securities and Bank of America. Overseeing IPOs of more than 30 medical products companies. Early in his career at Guidant (now a part of Boston Scientific), he developed launch plans for the first ever implantable defibrillator.
Kurt received a Sc.B. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University; a master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Michigan and a business degree (S.M.) from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
